Cadaques

Cadaques is a spell-binding Spanish fishing village located in the Cap de Creus peninsula, on Costa Brava (near French border) famous for its narrow streets lined with cute white houses above stunning Mediterranean views. The village is centred on a 17th-century church with an exceptional baroque altar.

Since the 1950s, this friendly village has become an outstanding cultural hot spot where artists like Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray used to come visit — alongside Picasso himself— captivated by its wonderful light & landscape as well as the enigmatic presence of Salvador Dalí who had his mythic house studio right next door in Port Lligat.

The town of Cadaques offers a unique experience about Spanish gastronomy. Many family restaurants allow to discover traditional Catalans dishes or innovative cooking. Those local specialities spin around seafood and fish, caught in the crystal-clear water of the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed, the region is ideal for water activities such as scuba diving, kayak or sailing.

On another hand, the hiking trails around Cadaques, offer breathtaking views on the town and the Cap de Creus.

The Cap de Creus

Cap de Creus National Park in Catalan is one of those large natural reserves that sit waiting for hiking as you explore its rugged coastline and unusual geological formations.

Established in 1998, it lives on as a place of both land and maritime environments where numerous plant and creature species home. On the highest point of the Cap, the Cap de Creus lighthouse offers an astonishing view.

The Tudela site is the other iconic location thanks to its striking rock formations sculpted by wind and water. The shapes of those rocks have inspired artists like Salvador Dalí. Both nature lovers and culture seekers will feel that the park is an appealing destination thanks to its numerous ecosystems and other cultural gems.

Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava otherwise known as 'the Venice of Spain'. is the largest residential marina in the world. The town is famous for its huge maze of waterways where villas and buildings are settled. Established since the 1960s, Empuriabrava has grown in popularity among travelers and foreign residents. The town is unique in Spain because of its thriving marina, which attracts people who want to enjoy restaurants, boating, and a dynamic nightlife.
